We are delighted to introduce Dr. Jawed, a highly skilled and compassionate Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, whose NHS role is based in the West Midlands (Hereford). Dr. Jawed is committed to providing expert surgical care in both public and private sectors.
Educational Background & Specialisation
Dr. Jawed completed his basic surgical training in the Northwest and passed his MRCS exams. He then pursued Orthopaedic higher Surgical training in the Midlands and Southwest Peninsula region, passing the specialty exit exams (FRCS trauma and orthopaedics). He also holds a Masters Degree (MCh) in trauma and orthopaedics from Edinburgh University where he was award the Harold Stiles gold medal. Dr. Jawed further enhanced his skills with a fellowship in hip and knee arthroplasty and revision arthroplasty, including computer-guided joint replacement, at Derriford hospital, Plymouth.

Professional Experience
Dr. Jawed’s extensive experience spans hospital-based hip and knee surgeries, as well as day case surgeries of the hand and foot. He has also developed advanced skills in ultrasound-guided joint injections. Alongside his clinical work:

He enjoys teaching FY2 doctors and medical students from Birmingham and the new Three counties medical school.
He actively participates in (and leads) the arthroplasty MDT, clinical governance meetings, and educational sessions.
He has multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented research nationally and internationally.
